Louis Mendes is a New York City icon. He’s been taking pictures at graduations, Rockefeller Center and just on the street with his Speed Graphic camera for over 40 years. I was lucky enough to snap this photo of him while he was taking pictures on 125th Street in Harlem during the broad cast of Barak Obama’s inauguration.
